Goth rocker Marilyn Manson is currently in hospital after an on-stage accident occurred mid-concert on Saturday evening.

The controversial singer was performing in New York City when a prop, shaped like two guns fell on him as he was performing the classic hit Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This).

According to media reports, it is believed that it took emergency services several minutes to remove the gun prop to free Manson, to which he was then put on a stretcher, where he was swiftly taken to the local hospital.

Manson’s representatives have refused to comment on the accident and have only confirmed that he is currently in hospital. It is not known how severe his injuries are but sources believe that he will be ‘fine’.

Journalist, Katherine Turman, stated he has a ‘leg injury’ but his prognosis is ‘okay’.

The incident occurred around the 90-minute mark of Manson’s show, and after the accident, the venue quickly went dark and the music ceased.

Fans took to Social Media to reveal how they witnessed Manson being stretchered out of the venue, before being quickly ushered out themselves.

Manson fan Michelle Curran witnessed the accident and claimed it was ‘probably half way through singing Sweet Dreams by the Eurythmics’ when the display fell.

‘The massive gun display of two pistols behind him toppled on to him,’ she told the Daily Mail.

‘The singing stopped and loads of people ran on to the stage to lift to it up.’
